Workshop "Resilience and Overcoming Stress" Held at UNP
To mark World Mental Health Day, the University hosted a workshop titled "Resilience and Overcoming Stress," led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Alma Čolović Međedović.
The workshop aimed to foster a deeper understanding of personal stress responses, help participants identify individual stressors and coping resources, and develop constructive strategies for navigating daily challenges.
Through interactive exercises and practical examples, participants examined where they direct their energy, how mindsets shape perceptions of stressful situations, and how to differentiate between factors within their control and those beyond it. Special attention was paid to identifying cognitive patterns that amplify stress and outlining small, actionable steps to maintain psychological balance. The core message of the workshop emphasized that resilience does not mean a life free of stress and hardship, but rather the capacity to gradually regain balance despite adversity, recognize personal needs, draw upon support systems, and find the strength to persevere.
Taking care of mental health begins with self-understanding—and true strength is reflected not in never falling, but in the ability to rise again and continue forward.
