Formal Academy and Graduation Ceremony at the University of Novi Pazar

The University of Novi Pazar held a Formal Academy to mark University Day, alongside a graduation ceremony for its students.

The program commenced with the anthem Gaudeamus igitur, performed by the Choir of the Novi Pazar Gymnasium, followed by a retrospective film showcasing the University's most significant activities and achievements over the past academic year.

The audience was addressed by Rector Prof. Dr. Suad Bećirović, Prof. Dr. Bećir Kalač on behalf of the jubilee award recipients, Science Minister Advisor Zoran Tomić, "Golden Student" Lejla Smailović, and the President of the Mešihat, Dr. Mevlud Dudić.

During the academy, jubilee awards were presented to University employees, and plaques were awarded to the most successful students for their academic excellence. The ceremony was further enriched by performances from the Novi Pazar Gymnasium Choir, an original piece by students Adna Nurović and Andrej Janković, and a rendition of the sevdalinka "Emina" by Kanita Plojović.

In his address, Rector Prof. Dr. Suad Bećirović pointed out that for 24 years, the University has successfully fulfilled its mission of education, research, and social development, emphasizing the importance of the bond between the academic community, society, and the economy.

He devoted special attention to the graduates, encouraging them to be brave, persistent, and ready to create their own opportunities. He stressed that knowledge, hard work, integrity, and lifelong learning are the keys to success, and that only top-tier experts can transform society and contribute to its progress.
"Days and years do not return—so seize every opportunity. Stay true to your values, believe in your abilities, and never settle for mediocrity," the Rector told the graduates.

The Formal Academy concluded with the conferring of diplomas and a message that the University of Novi Pazar remains committed to developing academic excellence, nurturing knowledge, and celebrating the achievements of its students and faculty.
