Studying Abroad
The Erasmus+ program offers students the opportunity to participate in funded mobility programs—student exchanges and internships—that can be carried out in any participating country.
Students at all levels of study, except for first-year undergraduate students, are eligible for student exchanges abroad.
Student exchanges last from 3 months (for internships) to 6 months (for studying). These exchanges are designed so that students attend lectures and take exams, earning the corresponding ECTS credits, which are recognized upon their return to the home institution in Serbia. Internships help students acquire and develop practical knowledge and skills through work at foreign institutions, organizations, and companies.
Erasmus+ students receive a monthly stipend and reimbursement for travel expenses. The stipend amount depends on the country where the candidate is located.
The process for students planning to study abroad, as well as the procedures after returning from an exchange, includes several key steps and regulations:
Before the exchange:
- Agreement with the Academic Coordinator:Students choose courses in agreement with the academic coordinator at their department, and before departure, they must submit a Certificate of Completed Exams from the University of Novi Pazar.
- Learning Agreement:This is prepared digitally, listing the courses the student plans to take and complete abroad, and is aligned with the equivalents at the University of Novi Pazar.
- Exchange Student Form: This form must be filled out for registration and sent to the Office for International Cooperation.
- Regulating Student Status: Students retain their student status during the exchange but must ensure that their status is regulated with the student office before departure.
After returning from the exchange:
- Recognition of Exams: Students must submit the required documentation to the Office for International Cooperation, including a copy of the certificate of completed exams and the Learning Agreement. Exams taken during the exchange are recognized in accordance with the Rules on Student Mobility and ECTS Recognition, without the need for re-registration in the index.
- Filling out a Short Mobility Questionnaire : After returning, students must complete a mobility questionnaire from the European Commission, which will be sent to them via email.
