Scholarship Opportunities

The University of Novi Pazar offers scholarships to enable the enrollment of high-quality students and support successful students.

Scholarship opportunities available to students wishing to enroll in Bachelor's academic studies at the University of Novi Pazar for the 2023/2024 academic year are as follows:

 

Scholarships Based on Entrance Exam Results

Based on this criterion, the candidate with the highest score on the entrance exam for a study program receives a 50% tuition fee discount, the second-ranked receives a 20% discount, and the third-ranked receives a 10% discount.

Scholarships for Top Students in a Study Program

Based on this criterion, the student with the highest GPA among all students in a given study program receives an 80% tuition discount, the second-ranked receives a 40% discount, and the third-ranked receives a 20% discount.

Sibling Scholarship

If a parent or legal guardian enrolls a second child in one of the undergraduate academic study programs of the University, they receive a 10% tuition discount for the second and each subsequent child.

Scholarships for Family Members of University Employees

University employees and their family members, as well as employees and family members of institutions within the Islamic Community in Serbia, are entitled to a 10% tuition discount for undergraduate academic studies.

Social Scholarships

The number of these scholarships is determined by the University Council.

The ranking of applicants is determined based on the number of points earned, according to the following algorithm:Household income: if the household has no income – 12 points; if it does – points are calculated according to the income certificate. If the certificate is in foreign currency, it is converted using the official middle exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia on the date of issuance.

If the income certificate is issued in a foreign currency, conversion is carried out using the middle exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia on the date the certificate was issued.

Housing status of the student.
If the student lives in a shared household, this fact is valued at 5 points. If the student rents an apartment for the purpose of studying, it is valued at 8 points.

Number of people in the shared household.
For this criterion, the number of household members is multiplied by a factor of two.

Family status.
If the student has lost both parents, this is valued at 10 points; if one parent is deceased, 6 points; if both parents are alive, 4 points.

Grade point average.
For first-year students, the average is calculated by summing the GPA from all four years of high school and dividing the total by two. For second-, third-, and fourth-year students, the GPA from the previous academic year is taken into account, including only grades from the February, June, and September exam periods, provided that the student has earned a minimum of 60 ECTS during those periods.

Graduates of High Schools within the Islamic Community in Serbia

Graduates of secondary schools within the Islamic Community in Serbia are entitled to a 10% tuition fee discount.

Required Documentation for Scholarships Based on Eligibility Criteria:

  • For Scholarships Based on Academic Performance (Average During the School Year)::
    • valid ID card
    • certificate of completed exams
  • For Scholarships Based on Social Criteria::
    • valid ID card
    • proof of monthly income
    • statement of joint household or student’s housing contract
    • death certificate of parents (for proving conditions from Article 7, Paragraph 1, Subsection 4)
  • For Scholarships for Family Members of University Employees and Institutions of the Islamic Community in Serbia::
    • valid ID card
    • proof of employment from the Islamic Community institution in Serbia
  • For Scholarships for Graduates of High Schools Within the Islamic Community in Serbia::
    • valid ID card
    • high school diploma from the Islamic Community in Serbia
  • For Scholarships for Children with Serious and Rare Diseases::
    • valid ID card
    • medical certificate
