The 16th Scientific Conference of the Department of Legal Sciences at the University of Novi Pazar, titled "Legal Challenges in the 21st Century," has officially opened. The conference was opened by Rector Prof. Dr. Suad Bećirović and the Head of the Department of Legal Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ergin Hakić, who emphasized the importance of the continuity of this gathering and its contribution to contemporary legal issues in the Balkan region.

The conference brought together professors and researchers from Ukraine, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and other countries in the region. Through a multidisciplinary approach, topics in the fields of administrative, labor, and copyright law, human rights, criminology, and criminal law were addressed, with a special focus on legislative changes and the application of artificial intelligence in legal practice.

The conference concluded successfully with the active participation and moderation of distinguished experts Prof. Dr. Ljiljana Dapčević-Marković, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nikola Terzić, and Dr. Jasmina Igrački. It was concluded that such gatherings play a key role in strengthening cooperation between the academic community and the legal profession, as well as in improving the future application of law and the legal system.

At the end of the event, participants were presented with certificates and letters of appreciation.
