Erasmus+

Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is a European Union program aimed at enhancing cooperation in the fields of general, vocational, higher education, adult education, youth, and sports. The program includes mobility projects, the exchange of good practices, and the reform of educational policies, allowing institutions and individuals across Europe to expand their knowledge, skills, and experiences.

The Erasmus+ program offers higher education institutions the opportunity to participate in mobility projects, sending students and staff to higher education institutions in other European countries or participating in international cooperation projects.

The University of Novi Pazar, as a holder of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, participates in mobility projects that support both physical and blended mobility of students and staff at higher education institutions, both from EU member states and third countries associated with the program (formerly known as program countries), as well as third countries that do not participate fully in the program (formerly known as partner countries).

Program Countries are all European Union countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, North Macedonia, and since 2019, Serbia. Institutions from program countries can participate in all parts of the program.

Partner Countries are primarily countries in the region surrounding the European Union, but also include all other countries in the world.

Student Mobility

Students can go on mobility from all fields and all levels of study (short programs, undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies).

The types of student mobility that can be carried out are:

  • Mobility for study,
  • Mobility for internships,
  • Combined mobility for study and internships,
  • Doctoral mobility for study or internships,
  • Combined intensive programs within short-term mobility for study.

The program primarily supports long-term mobility, but it also recognizes the importance of short-term mobility, which opens up the opportunity for more students from diverse environments, study conditions, and study programs to participate in mobility.

Staff Mobility

Mobility projects in higher education also support the mobility of teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as employees in the private sector, for further professional development.

Staff Mobility can be for the following purposes:

  • Teaching,
  • Professional development.

Staff can also participate in combined intensive programs within combined mobility for professional development.
