Business Challenge 2025

Dear high school students and first- and second-year undergraduate students,.

Have you ever thought about starting your own company? Do you want to succeed in business? What does it take? To help you take your first steps in business, the University of Novi Pazar is organizing a competition for the best business idea. This competition will help you shape your business idea, learn what it takes to start a business, successfully convince others of your idea, gain valuable practical knowledge, and win valuable prizes.

What is the Best Business Idea Competition?

This competition is a showcase of business ideas for high school students and undergraduate students. Through it, participants will get acquainted with basic business tools, such as business plans, and techniques essential for today’s business success, including business negotiation. This way, theory and practice will be connected.

How does the competition work?

The competition consists of three phases:

• Phase 1: Prijava na takmičenje.

By filling out a simple online form (link), you and your team can register and meet the basic requirements to participate (contact email: projektni.centar@uninp.edu.rs)

• Phase 2: Training sessions for participants..

Each team must attend a series of training sessions under the guidance of a mentor. These sessions will help them develop and present their business idea in the best possible way. Lectures will focus on business planning and business negotiation. (The Business Plans and Negotiation lecture will be held on March 22, 2025 (Saturday) at 10:00 AM with an assigned mentor—this schedule may change in agreement with the mentor).

• Phase 3: Final event.

On the day of the competition, teams will receive their challenge topic. Together with their mentor, they will develop a business plan and presentation. The jury will select the best business ideas. The top teams will present their ideas orally before the jury and TV cameras. The final event will take place on April 5, 2025, at the University of Novi Pazar ( Dimitrija Tucovića 65 starting at 10:00 AM). The finals will begin at 4:00 PM.

What are the prizes?

•     First-place team – 70,000 RSD; 
•    Second-place team – 35,000 RSD, 
•    Third-place team – 18,000 RSD.

Eligibility criteria:

• Each team must have three members
• Team members must be high school students or first- or second-year undergraduate students

Evaluation criteria:

All teams will be evaluated according to the following scale:
