University of Novi Pazar Awards Scholarships to 213 Students

The University of Novi Pazar hosted a formal ceremony to award scholarships for the 2026/2027 academic year, providing financial support to 213 students. The event took place during a landmark year as the University celebrates 25 years of existence and operation.

The ceremony was opened by the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Suad Bećirović, who emphasized that awarding scholarships represents a vital form of support for students and reaffirms the University's commitment to making high-quality higher education accessible to all, regardless of national or religious affiliation.
In his address, he noted that the University operates on self-generated revenue, reinvesting funds directly into instructional quality, infrastructure, and student support services. He specifically highlighted the importance of recognizing academic excellence, equal opportunity, and solidarity, emphasizing that behind every scholarship recipient lies dedication, ambition, and family support.

Dr. Rešad Plojović, President of the University Council, also addressed the attendees.

Scholarships were awarded across multiple categories, including the "Equal Opportunities Scholarships" program, recognition of top-performing students and entrance exam excellence, support for families with multiple children enrolled at the university, family members of employees, graduates of secondary schools under the Islamic Community in Serbia, as well as donor-funded scholarships.

The ceremony included the presentation of awards to students with the highest Grade Point Averages (GPA), as well as recipients of full (100%) scholarships. The program concluded with a speech by a university student representative and video presentations by scholars showcasing the significance of this support for their education and future goals.

Through these awards, the University of Novi Pazar once again reaffirms its commitment to recognizing academic achievement, providing equal opportunities, and cultivating optimal conditions for student growth and education.
