University of Novi Pazar Held a Panel Discussion on the Occasion of the 16 Days of Activism Against Violence Against Women Campaign, under the title Multidisciplinary Response to Violence Against Women
The panel discussion was formally opened by the Rector of the University, Professor Dr. Suad Bećirović.
Under the mentorship of Professor Dr. Samra Dečković, Professor Dr. Semrija Smailović, and Assistant Professor Dr. Jasmina Nikšić, students of Psychology and Law presented a criminological, legal, and psychological overview of the phenomenon of violence against women.
Inspector Ivica Radović spoke about statistics and police jurisdiction, while Senior Public Prosecutor Adnan Baćićanin presented the role of the prosecution and victim protection mechanisms. Graduate Psychologist Sabina Selek presented the role of the Center for Social Work.
Following the presentations, a discussion was opened where students actively posed questions to the guests.
At the end of the program, participants were awarded certificates.
