The University Rector, Professor Dr. Bećirović Suad, the General Manager, Professor Dr. Međedović Enver, and the Head of the Department of Legal Sciences, Professor Dr. Hakić Ergin, participated in the International Conference and presented the paper "Institutionalization of Higher Education in Sandžak and Its Impact on the Development of Local Elites," emphasizing the importance of education for developing regional capacities and creating local leaders.

The conference organizers were the Faculty of Law at the University of Tuzla and the NGO "Scientific Society of Lawyers Tuzla".
The event was held on December 18, 2025, in the Conference Hall of Hotel Salis, in a formal and professional atmosphere, featuring numerous presentations and discussions relevant to the academic and professional community.

The conference "State and Law – Challenges and Perspectives: Gračanica School of Local History" was organized to mark the 50th anniversary of the literary and scientific work of Omer Hamzić and the 30th anniversary of the journal "Gračanički glasnik." It gathered experts, researchers, and lawyers from the region, providing a platform for exchanging experiences and knowledge about current challenges in the fields of law, public administration, and local history.

The participation of the University of Novi Pazar further contributed to the scientific exchange and the strengthening of cooperation between academic institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sandžak.
