Psychology in Practice – Bridging Theory and Real-World Experience

Thanks to the established cooperation of the University of Novi Pazar with numerous institutions in the city and surrounding areas, students of the Department of Psychological Sciences had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and develop professional skills by working with various populations.

During April and May, the students visited the preschool institution "Reuda", the Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities in Raška, and conducted a workshop on the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day.
They also visited the MNRO Association, the National Employment Service, the Youth Center, and attended the Education Fair.

During the visits, professional teams and associates from these institutions introduced students to work methods, challenges, and everyday experiences in working with children and youth.

This internship, led by Prof. Dr. Semrija Smailović and Master Psychologist Elzana Hakić, enables students to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, develop empathy and professional sensitivity, and gain valuable experience for future work in the community.
