University of Novi Pazar Council Holds Second Session in the 2024/2025 Academic Year
The University of Novi Pazar Council held its second session of the 2024/2025 academic year today, September 30, 2025, at the University's Rectorate. The session was chaired by Dr. Rešad Plojović, President of the Council.
The meeting commenced with the adoption of the minutes from the previous session, after which the University Rector presented a comprehensive report on student enrollment and the accreditation of study programs. It was emphasized that the number of enrolled students is increasing compared to the previous year, confirming the University's growing recognition and quality within the academic community and the broader social context. The successful accreditation of new study programs was particularly highlighted, further expanding educational opportunities for future students. Council members commended the University management and employees for their achieved results, stressing the importance of continuously raising the quality of work.
During the remainder of the session, amendments and supplements to the University's normative acts were reviewed and adopted. Special attention was paid to improving the staffing structure, and to this end, proposed changes to the Rulebook on Job Systematization were considered. Council members stressed that human resource development is a key factor in achieving the University's strategic goals and raising the quality level of teaching and research.
One of the more significant items on the agenda concerned support for the establishment of the Centre for Halal Research. The goal of this Centre is to develop scientific and research work in the field of Halal standards, which will open up opportunities for cooperation between the University and economic entities, institutions, and international partners, while simultaneously contributing to the advancement of social responsibility and the promotion of new scientific disciplines.
The session concluded with a discussion of current issues within the University's scope of work, with an emphasis on the further development of infrastructure and the teaching base.
By holding its second session this academic year, the University Council once again confirmed its commitment to the constant improvement of educational and scientific-research quality, thereby ensuring that the University of Novi Pazar continues to strengthen its position as a modern, open, and socially responsible higher education institution.
