"Interesting Facts about German Culture" Workshop Held

At the University of Novi Pazar, within the Department of Arts and Philological Sciences, a workshop titled "Interesting Facts about German Culture" was held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, intended for high school students.

The workshop was conducted by Merjem Plojović, MA in Philology, and Aida Bačevac, MA in Philology, who introduced the participants to the German language and culture in an engaging and interactive way. The program included a presentation of the fundamental characteristics of German culture, as well as an introduction to the 16 German federal states and their unique features.

A special segment of the workshop was dedicated to the language, featuring Germanisms, idioms, the longest German words, and popular youth slang expressions, which sparked great interest among the participants. Through quizzes, games, and other interactive activities, the high schoolers actively participated and further expanded their knowledge.

The workshop took place in a pleasant and encouraging atmosphere, successfully achieving its goal of bringing the German language and culture closer to young people in a creative and accessible manner.
