Traditional Book Festival Held at Gazi Isa-bey Ishaković Square
The festival brought together professors, students, authors, and book lovers. Over three days, in the spirit of knowledge and idea exchange, various topics from literature, law, economics, and education were discussed.
On Friday, May 16, the event began with a discussion about the journal Economic Challenges. Speakers included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dženis Bajramović, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Irma Mašović Muratović, and Mr. Haris Zogić. Prof. Dr. Branislava Vasić Rakočević highlighted the importance of children's literature. Prof. Dr. Enver Gicić spoke about Islamic inheritance law, and the day concluded with a presentation by Prof. Dr. Muamer Nicević and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samra Dečković on the textbook Criminal Law – General Part with Elements of Enforcement Law.
Saturday, May 17, was marked by discussions on education and literature. Prof. Dr. Samir Ljajić spoke about the journal University Thought. The textbook Juvenile Delinquency was presented with talks by Prof. Dr. Enver Međedović and Prof. Dr. Ergin Hakić. Prof. Dr. Maida Bećirović Alić introduced the textbooks Copyright Law and Obligations Law, while Prof. Dr. Kemal Džemić discussed the phenomenon of intellectuals in South Slavic literature.
On Sunday, May 18, the final sessions were held. Prof. Dr. Ergin Hakić and Dr. Dženis Šaćirović presented the journal Legal Topics. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Almedina Numanović spoke about the book Personality Traits of Athletes, emphasizing the importance of mental preparation. The festival concluded with the presentation of the student journal Epistema.
The 2025 Book Festival demonstrated the strength of unity through knowledge, dialogue, and love for the written word.
