Delegation of the University of Novi Pazar Meets with the Management of Kuveyt Türk Bank in Istanbul

A delegation of the University of Novi Pazar, consisting of Rector Prof. Dr. Suad Bećirović, General Manager Prof. Dr. Enver Međedović, and Financial Manager and Chief of the Rector’s Office, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haris Zogić, visited Istanbul, where they held a business meeting with the Executive Vice President of Kuveyt Türk Bank, Dr. Ahmet Albayrak.

During the meeting, directions for cooperation between the University of Novi Pazar and Kuveyt Türk Bank were agreed upon in the fields of economics and finance, with a particular focus on connecting the academic community with the modern banking sector. Special emphasis was placed on the banking sector’s support for the University’s academic activities, including the organization of the international conference Islamic Moral Economy and Finance 2026 (IMEF), as well as the implementation of a summer school in the field of halal business, for which Dr. Albayrak expressed his full support.

This meeting represents an important step forward in strategically positioning the University of Novi Pazar as a regional center for contemporary research in Islamic economics and finance, and confirms its commitment to developing international partnerships with leading financial institutions. Cooperation with Kuveyt Türk Bank further strengthens the University’s institutional capacities and opens opportunities for new joint projects, knowledge exchange, and the involvement of students and researchers in international academic networks.
