At the Department of Law of the University of Novi Pazar, as part of the Winter School, the course "CSI UNINP: From Print to Truth" was held. The course gathered a large number of high school graduates who had the opportunity to learn about the basics of criminology and forensics.
The program was officially opened by the Head of the Department of Law, Prof. Ergin Hakić, PhD, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of such educational activities in connecting theoretical knowledge with practice.
In the theoretical part of the course, Prof. Aleksandar B. Ivanović, PhD, presented the methodology of forensic investigations through case studies from his extensive professional practice. Prof. Samra Dečković, PhD, spoke about the phases of crime scene investigation, covering the static phase, while Prof. Enver Međedović, PhD, introduced the participants to the dynamic phase and procedures for the detailed examination of traces.
The practical part of the course was realized through a crime scene simulation, led by MSc Sanjin Mašović with the support of third-year students from the Department.
The high school students actively participated in identifying, marking, and securing evidence, as well as working with modern forensic equipment.
